At NAB, DVS presents CLIPSTER’s expanded mezzanine workflows, which support MXF AS-02 alongside IMF (Interoperable Master Format). According to DVS, this allows postproduction customers for the first time to provide a digital master with different tracks under the IMF standard. These include video, audio, subtitles and closed captions and allow the generation of a wide variety of deliverables for DVD, Blu-ray, SDTV, HDTV, IPTV and much more, the company explains.

Compression of JPEG2000 RGB/YUV data at a data rate of 500 Mbit/s is said to take place faster than realtime. CLIPSTER also offers an expanded toolset for 3D: with its high-quality hardware, CLIPSTER generates 3D DCPs (Digital Cinema Packages) in realtime and accelerates not only DCI mastering but also 3D subtitling in 4K. Stereoscopic correction tools are available that can be controlled automatically or manually, DVS continues.

VENICE, the multichannel video server for the broadcast market, now also implements file-based workflows with support for Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid ISIS with Avid Interplay PAM (Production Asset Management). VENICE’s codec diversity and multichannel capability give users great flexibility and make it possible to edit video material directly on the server with Final Cut Pro while it is still being recorded. The combination of DVS and Avid systems makes it possible to use VENICE for Live Video Ingest via HD-SDI and File Ingest from Professional Discs or P2 storage media.

According to DVS, the latest version of the SpycerBox storage solution optimises both speed and efficiency in customer workflows. DVS once again increases SpycerBox capacity to 72 TB and gives customers an optimal balance of speed and performance.

The latest member of the renowned Atomix board family premieres at NAB. The high-performance Atomix HDMI video board is said to meet the requirements of high-end film, HDTV postproduction, broadcast applications and demanding presentations and is equipped with an expanded range of functions. Four ports of the HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) digital audio/video interface implement full HD 3D as well as other demanding modern image-processing tasks.
