Jay Sullivan, Vice President of Products at Mozilla, explains: “NVIDIA 3D Vision is a good example of a powerful technology on the basis of which Firefox delivers an unparalleled graphics experience to its users.”
According to company information, NVIDIA 3D Vision includes active shutter glasses as well as the 3D Vision software and requires NVIDIA GPUs and notebooks with 3D LCDs or LCD monitors with 120 Hz. Displaying 3D YouTube videos requires a PC or notebook equipped with 3D Vision and the latest NVIDIA GeForce drivers (version 275 or higher), as well as a Firefox web browser from version 4 that supports HTML5 video streaming. In addition, 3D videos can be displayed with NVIDIA 3DTV Play software on a connected 3D-capable HD television.
“So far, we are recording good sales figures for the ASUS G series with built-in NVIDIA 3D Vision,” says Ben Thacker, Vice President of Systems Business Group Distribution at ASUS North America. “Now our customers can watch YouTube videos in 3D and the best quality. We therefore continue to expect a significant increase in interest in ASUS 3D Vision notebooks.”
According to Nvidia, the introduction of new 3D cameras for end users and YouTube’s support for NVIDIA 3D Vision are prompting more and more internet users to publish three-dimensional content themselves. With cameras from JVC and Sony, for example, they can record 3D videos themselves and publish them on YouTube, 3DVisionLive.com or on their own website with an embedded YouTube 3D video player.

“YouTube 3D is a unique experience on an NVIDIA 3D Vision PC,” says Phil Eisler, General Manager of 3D Vision at NVIDIA. “Now 3D Vision users can choose between more than 525 games, YouTube videos and three-dimensional photos in full 3D resolution.”
