CopperCube 3 Release

The new version of the 3D editor for interactive 3D applications has been released. CopperCube 3 is intended to make it possible to publish and program 3D content in Flash or WebGL without major programming effort – so nothing stands in the way of a shooter in the browser.

New features include a Dynamic Light function for all target specifications, plugins for the editor, an improved model camera, and a third camera for indoor scenes.

The new editing tool supports low-poly editing and sculpting that conserves internet connections. This is intended to allow artists to dispense with further external modeling tools and create 3D content using CopperCube alone. According to the manufacturer, acceptable skeletal animation is also possible with this feature. The previous scripting language, "Squirrel", has been replaced by JavaScript.

With the CopperCube Editor, 3D models are intended to be publishable directly after import as a Flash *.swf file for websites or as individual Windows .exe or Mac OS X .app files. So nothing more stands in the way of fast visualization, your own game, or even a virtual tour of a building in the browser.
