According to Autodesk, Flame software is an integrated toolset for 3D VFX, real-time color correction and editing for the postproduction finishing workflow. Light and color are now intended to be incorporated flexibly and directly into the 3D compositing environment.
The Premium version is said to offer point, spot, area, directional and ambient light that casts real shadows in 3D scenes. It likewise offers a function for ultra-realistic 3D lens flares and volumetric lighting effects that interact with media layers and 3D objects. There is also new support for IBL mapping to improve the simulation of ambient light on surfaces and 3D geometry.
