PSD file support is said to have been improved overall, and with it the reading of Adobe Photoshop layers. Layers in 16bit PSD format are also now said to have access in Nuke and Nukex, and layer and node-graph conversion via metadata embedding is now said to be possible as well.
The new colour management via OpenColorIO is said to be suited to collaboration between The Foundry products Mari, Katana and Hiero, as well as other standard programs such as Silhouette. According to The Foundry, the UDIM function improves interoperability with Mari, particularly through the Mari-Nuke bridge.
In Nukex specifically, this version is said to add expanded Renderman integration for greater control. This is said to allow RIB files to be entered into Nukex more effectively and their details to be edited.
