Improvements in Maxwell Render Plug-In Version 2.6.27 for Maya include, among other things, better integration with the RealFlow system under Mac and Linux, an API for the export workflow, and adjustments to the interface. Added to this is the default LOD value of 0 in Particle Objects and MXS references, to prevent the plug-in from accessing the hard drive during setup. In addition, the IOR parameter of Phong and Blinn materials is takken into account by the translator .

Under Softimage, errors in animated textures were fixed, ICE threads are now exported correctly, and when exporting an animation the scene is now deleted between frames. Furthermore, the camera’s exposure time was was set to 1/750 seconds by default,    MXS references are supported, and RFRK primitives(mesh and particles) were added.
