A sensor upgrade kit called Dragon is intended to enable a resolution of 6K at 85 fps or 5K at 120 fps. The Dragon sensor is said to be larger than the Mysterium X, but with a smaller pixel size. The first rumors about price and delivery time are already circulating in the Reduser.net forum: the news is rather better for Epic users, who are expected to be able to convert their camera into a 6K weapon for 6,000 dollars. The Dragon sensor for the Epic is expected to ship by the end of this year. Scarlet users, on the other hand, do not yet know much; the price has not yet been specified, and delivery is definitely expected to stretch into 2013.
Another highlight for fans of high K values is the REDray Player and the associated REDray projector. The REDray Player is intended to output 4K content from its internal HD and SD cards, and the REDray Laser projector is intended to project 2D and 3D at up to 120 fps for passive 3D glasses. Without calibration, the laser is expected to withstand up to 25,000 hours of use. According to RED, the laser projector will be available later this year for less than 10,000 dollars.
