According to Pixomondo, the core work of the newly added studio, which was founded by David Burton and Pam Hammarlund, will be local and international productions for feature films, commercials, and television films. The acquisition was not pulled out of thin air either. With a Twist and Pixomondo had been working together for some time and on projects such as The Amazing Spiderman, Hugo, and Sucker Punch.

"Talent is the core factor when we consider new studio locations," said Thilo Kutter, founder of Pixomondo. "Over a period of many years, we have worked very closely with With a Twist on high-quality projects and are therefore familiar with their high quality standards. We now officially welcome them to the Pixomondo family and look forward to a solid presence in Detroit."
