Since the Kinect SDK became available, developments in the field of face tracking have been coming thick and fast. Another candidate in this area is Brekel. Brekel Kinect Pro Face is the name of the latest 3D face-tracking tool. The data sets are recorded in FBX format for exchange with all common 3D packages. The audio and video data can be exported in common formats such as AVI and WAV. According to Brekel, two special scripts are available that permit direct streaming into the Unity game engine through a C# script and Autodesk Motionbuilder. The latter through a plug-in and compatibility from version 2009 to 2013.

The tool is available for Windows (32-bit/64-bit) and costs the equivalent of 79,- EUR as a full version. Trial versions are also offered so that users can form their own impression of the software.
