Students can now equip themselves with a student version of C4D R14 free of charge. Apart from a few restrictions, the scope of functions is the same as the full C4D version. Network rendering is not available, and there is no support for plug-ins that depend on the serial number. When purchasing a commercial version of C4D from within the student programme, no large discount is granted, and it is also not possible to access the Maxon support hotline.
Anyone not bothered by this can register on the responsible Maxon.net page and download version R14 after successful verification of student status.
In addition to the free student version, Cineversity provides free training videos so that students who have not yet actively worked with C4D can get started quickly.
