The compatibility of Autodesk Smoke 2013 and the mocha tracking tool enables artists to save a great deal of time. Three videos now present practical ways for the two tools to interoperate as tutorials.

In the first video, Autodesk uses a compositing example to show how a 4-point tracking file from mocha Pro can be composed with Autodesk Smoke as a logo on a moving truck.

In the second video, you learn how to export a mask rotoscoped in mocha Pro – and then import it into Smoke’s Gmask node and perform the compositing there.

In the third and final video, Autodesk explains how to export a 3D camera movement from mocha Pro into Smoke. In the next step, a 3D model is integrated into the original background in the shot using the 3D camera data.
