Extension 2 for Flame

Autodesk has released Extension 2 for the Flame 20th Anniversary Edition software, adding new features and improved performance.

Users with an active subscription account can download Extension 2, which is intended to improve the high-end VFX and finishing workflow. According to Autodesk, the features were created on the basis of customer feedback.

Key features of Extension 2 include support for Apple ProRes and a 16-bit DPX workflow. Clips can also be identified in the timeline and certain clips can be protected from editing. The extension additionally enables projects to be saved manually, the timeline source to be adjusted and trimming operations to be preserved. Other features include seamless switching between media and finishing tools and optimised Library Memory Managment.
