The Optical Flares plug-in for After Effects was a great success. Andrew Kramer is now extending that success with his "Optical Flares for Nuke" plug-in, which is expected to appear at the end of April.

This release is a major project for the artist, requiring the UI to be rebuilt so the plug-in can run on Linux and work with Nuke’s 3D space. The Foundry and many other studios tested the plug-in during its beta phase.

In an initial tutorial, Andrew Kramer presents the plug-in’s basic setup.

The "Optical Flares for Nuke" plug-in is expected to cost 199.95 dollars. According to Kramer, it is compatible with Nuke 7 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
