According to developer RayFire Studios, the RayFire plug-in release 1.61 can professionally create all the effects around which an alleged Michael Bay film plot is constructed. The VFX studio Hydraulx in Santa Monica is said to have used the plug-in for "The Avengers", as did artist Allan Mckay for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon".
The RayFire Customer Showreel shows which projects used the plug-in:
RayFire 1.61 is compatible with 3ds Max versions 2009 to 2013. The new cache feature is intended to allow geometry and animation to be cached in one file. According to RayFire Studios, support for Alembic-animated objects and improved clustering algorithms have also been added as features.
