With the advance of 4K and 8K content, the new compression standard HEVC/H.265 is also becoming increasingly interesting, because it is said to have twice the compression rate of its predecessor H.264.
The Nikon software is intended to enable easy analysis of HEVC content. Features of the tool include UHD (4K/8K) correspondence, coverage of all international standards and speed analysis. Image structures are intended to be displayed comprehensibly in a graphical display and analysis results produced quickly with simple operations.
The HEVC/H.265 analysis software runs on Windows 7 64-bit; an Intel Xeon Quadcore 2.66GHz graphics card or one with more performance is recommended. The tool requires a minimum storage capacity of 4 GB.
