With Trapcode Mir, users can create surfaces in After Effects that can be used for motion graphics or visual effects. For artists who already have version 1.0, beta 2.0 is available free of charge on the Trapcode website. Thanks to GPU acceleration, After Effects users can shape, animate and light surfaces in real time.
New features in version 2.0 of Trapcode Mir include optimized rendering that is expected to run three times faster. Z Range Controls have also been added, with which plateaus can be created in landscapes, for example, as well as a Second Pass Wireframe and Quads that can be used instead of Triangles. With the new Memory Management, a new pop-up, VRAM can be set manually or the memory check can be switched off entirely. This function can only be used with high-end cards with 2GB VRAM.
Here you can download version 2.0 if you already own Trapcode Mir 1.0.
