Simon K. Jones of FXhome announced this news in the HitFilm community. HitFilm Plugins makes it possible to work with the effects and tools from the standalone version in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro X Motion and Sony Vegas Pro, and is compatible with Mac and PC. It is expected to be available later in April for 499 dollars.
With HitFilm Plugins, FXhome wants to address a larger target group and cater to the workflow for both small indie projects and large studio productions.
The plug-in package includes 130 plug-ins in the areas of VFX, compositing, motion graphics and color grading, based on the HitFilm technology of the standalone software. Specifically, these include Atomic Particles for Fractal Array Animation, which also support audio-driven behavior in After Effects, as well as 15 keying and matte generation plug-ins, including Chroma Key for green screen. Also included: a flexible Light and Flare Designer Kit, pyrotechnics effects and Cinematic Grading. All plug-ins are GPU-based.
The plug-in release has no consequences for the standalone version; it will continue to be developed as before.
