Lars von Trier is a specialist in controversial film topics, so his works "Nymphomaniac" and "Melancholia" are ideally suited to a webinar on "The Role of VFX and Colors in Controversial Films". Peter Hjorth worked as a VFX designer and colorist for the scandalous Danish director.
In the one-hour webinar, the artist explains how von Trier created the look concept for these radical film experiences and what VFX challenges the provocative stories presented. Peter Hjorth and Lars von Trier created a pipeline using Assimilate Scratch with GenArts Sapphire plug-ins, combining color grading and VFX in one tool.
