Avid USA has announced new licensing models. Media Composer software is now available as a monthly or annual subscription option. With this, the manufacturer wants to lower the barrier to entry for new customers. Customers can choose between on-premises, cloud, subscription, floating, or perpetual licenses.
- The Media Composer software subscription license costs from 39 euros per month

Media Composer: perpetual license from 1,099 euros for one year. Updates and support are included. After that, 249 euros per year are charged.

Media Composer floating license from 1,499 euros per workstation.

Media Composer Cloud starts at 29 euros.
