Brecht van Lommel will start his new job at Solid Angle as early as this July to continue developing the Arnold Renderer. Unfortunately, conversely, this means that he can no longer work on the features of Blender’s Cycles render engine and that its lead developer will no longer be available. It is certainly good for Arnold. According to his personal statement, Van Lommel intends to remain connected to Blender. Further information is available at Blendernation and Blenderdiplom.
