If there is not enough water from the sky outside in Germany for your taste: with version 1 of Rain Tool for Maya, you can add digital rain on top.

The tool contains a rain asset that works on an nDynamics basis in Autodesk Maya. It is compatible with Windows and Maya versions 2014 and 2015.
