The free update is for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Pocket Cinema Camera, and the Production Camera 4K. Until now, Blackmagic camera owners could record CinemaDNG Raw or compressed ProRes 422; the update now also enables ProRes 422, ProRes 422 LT, and ProRes 422 Proxy in 10-bit quality.
Update 1.8.2 can be downloaded for Mac or PC and then installed on the respective camera via USB cable. Once the update is complete, customers will see the new formats in the camera menu.
