Rock Tutorial with ZBrush and 3DCoat

Creating realistic rocks is not as easy as you might initially think. In this tutorial, Indie Dungeon shows how to achieve it with 3DCoat, ZBrush and Modo.

In the half-hour master class, you learn, among other things, how to first create a basic shape in 3DCoat with voxel primitives, achieve a natural look through subtractive voxel rock sculpting, integrate photographed cracks into the model with ZBrush, reduce polys with Decimation Master, create the texture with Modo and finally finish the 3D model in Marmoset Toolbag. Afterwards, the rock can be used in games in real time or for VFX purposes in films.

The tutorial "Rock Creation Workflow" is the first tutorial from IndieDungeon.com.
