This payment can be paused at any time when the tool is not currently needed for a production. The texture tools also have no feature limitation when used under Substance Live.
The current version 5 of Substance Designer, Substance Painter 1.3 and Bitmap2Materials 3 can be purchased individually or as a complete tool set. Users of the new Substance Live offering also receive access to additional special offers such as exclusive services and beta builds, even after they have already paid off the license.
Substance Live is available on the Allegorithmic website as well as on Steam or in the Unity Asset Store. The Substance Indie license is available for 19.90 US dollars per month; after 16 months, the full version of the tool is paid off. The Pro version costs 64.90 US dollars per month.
