New features include improved performance, reduced memory consumption and improved parallel use of GPU and CPU. Completely rewriting the library not only increased performance but also simplified the API.
The GPU shader architecture was also redesigned and simplified, so the on-screen “Adaptive Tessellation” feature runs faster and now fits into any rendering architecture.
