Interactive Data Visualization’s (IDV) virtual vegetation software SpeedTree has been used for professional greening in more than 30 television programmes, including Game of Thrones, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Penny Dreadful, Black Sails, and The Vampire Diaries.
Now the makers of the software are receiving the Engineering Emmy. On October 28, IDV founders Michael Sechrest, Chris King and Senior Software Architect Greg Croft will accept the award in Hollywood. SpeedTree has already been honoured this year by the “Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences” with the “Scientific and Technical Academy Award” and with the “Develop Industry Excellence Award” in the “Design & Creativity Tool” category.
