Thanks to improved interoperability between Media Composer and Artist | DNxIO, users can, among other things, capture DNxHR-encoded media directly in Media Composer through devices connected to DNxIO hardware, capture and output subtitles and other ancillary data through devices connected to DNxIO hardware, and synchronize via LTC using DNxIO timecode ports.
Artist | DNxIO is available as standalone hardware or bundled with Media Composer. The solution is based on the Avid MediaCentral platform and is compatible with every product in the Avid Artist Suite as well as many other creative tools, including Blackmagic Resolve, Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
The Media Composer update enables users of Artist | DNxIO hardware to perform hardware encoding of high-resolution Avid DNxHR LB media in capture workflows, provides LTC timecode support via the DNxIO’s XLR timecode inputs/outputs, and supports ancillary data, including subtitles for NTSC and HD, SDI VITC reader, RP188 and Pass-Through All (HD, 4K).
