In addition, the update completely revised the organisation of the tools in particular. Individual tools and interface elements are now arranged in a more logical order, making work with Media Composer even more intuitive and user-friendly. By combining support for high-dynamic-range projects with Avid Resolution Independence for working with unrestricted resolutions, Media Composer is geared and prepared for the industry’s future requirements. The HDR format allows projects to be edited with a new colour specification and gives the material greater colour dynamics.
Version 8.5 is available now in the Avid Store. Existing Media Composer customers with an active Upgrade & Support Plan or subscription can download the new version free of charge.
