The new History function makes it possible to keep an overview of the tasks on a 3D garment and save different versions of the editing history.
Merge makes it possible to merge two patterns into one, and M:N Sewing can be used to group different segments.
In version 5.5, animations can be exported in the .mcx file format, which can accommodate large animation data and the Alembic format (the Alembic function will only be available for Mac OS X in the official MD 5.5 version). Other features include Offset Multiple Internal Lines, multiple UV Guides, new tools for opening pleats and fold seams, Intersect & Merge Points, sublayers for sewing, reference lines for rotation, symmetrisation as well as auto-folds and auto-pleated folds.
