Katana 2.5—Now Also for Windows

The Foundry has released version 2.5 of the look development and lighting tool Katana; new features include support for Windows.

This step now also enables studios whose pipeline runs on Windows to work with Katana. In addition, according to The Foundry, the toolset is easier to install and support for a range of rendering tools has also been added: Renderman, V-Ray, Arnold and 3Delight are among them.

Katana 2.5 is currently available as a beta version, but is due to be delivered as a full version soon. Platforms supported by Katana include Linux RHEL Centos 6 and Windows 7 64-bit.

Katana is available from The Foundry from around 6,000 euros. All further information about the new release here.
