The current Bonus Tools add new features to Maya in areas including modelling, UV editing, rigging, animation, and rendering. For example, there is now a Weight Editor for an easier rigging process, and IK splines can be created on different chains.
Also new are the comparison option for selected layers and the Floating Frame Rate; the Display Control and Flatten Components functions have also been revised.
Here is an overview of all the new features added with the Maya Bonus Tools, as well as tutorials on the individual functions. The Bonus Tools installer for Maya 2017 is available on Autodesk Maya Apps Exchange.
