Users can use it to animate characters from DAZ 3D (Genesis 2 or Genesis 3), Renderpeople (rigged characters), AXYZ Design (rigged characters), or Autodesk Character Generator. The models are simply dragged & dropped into the plug-in and mobilization begins. Other human characters can also be used with People in Motion 2.0 by connecting the joints to the plug-in.

People in Motion features

Using the plug-in’s internal Rig Builder, users can also add a standard joint rig to the character models. The Walk Designer helps design walking animations and includes typical movements such as climbing stairs or sitting down and standing up. With just a few clicks and controls, users can create a wide variety of types of movement. Through additional IK controls for the head, chest, knees, feet, and arms, the plug-in offers automatic setup options for an individual animation at the click of just one button. Crowd Control for simple crowd animations is also included: stairs, elevators, seats, or similar can be used to control the characters’ actions and paths. All of this directly in Cinema 4D.

System requirements & price

The plug-in is compatible with Cinema 4D Release 17 and later, as well as the Windows and Mac OS operating systems. No characters are included in the plug-in. For anyone who already used R1 of People in Motion: R2 is not an update, but a completely new version of the plug-in. Both versions can be used in parallel.

The People in Motion plug-in costs 71.43 euros and can be ordered here in the Rodenburg Verlag shop.
