Following the beta version of the Sidekick plug-in, the Houdini-to-3ds Max bridge is now available in its first released version. With the tool, you can exchange objects from Max and Houdini with the respective other software. This includes animated geometry, VDB and particle data. In the video clip, you can see a preview of the new Pyro template. Here is the plug-in’s page.
Price and Compatibility
While the beta version was still free, the standard version can now be purchased on this page for the equivalent of 82 euros. Until May 20, you can still get a 28-euro discount using the coupon code “shutupandtakemymoney.” The tool requires Houdini version 16+ and 3ds Max 2016+. VRay, Arnold or Redshift is required for exchanging volume data.
