Blend4Web: Updates for 3D in the Browser

Now also with AR support: New features in the open source Blend4Web framework for creating browser-based 3D content.

New features in the new 17.06 release of Blend4Web, an open source framework for creating interactive content. These include support for augmented reality, several Blender transformation constraints, a new “Set Camera Limits” node and more.

New Features

  • Blender Constraints are now supported with Copy Location, Copy Rotation, Copy Transforms and Track To.
  • Augmentet Reality features added: In this AR demo, you can test the new features with a webcam or tablet. To do so, you must also print out these markers and then start the demo.
  • Set Camera Limits node for quickly restricting camera movements.
  • Improved AA rendering for increased anti-aliasing performance and quality
  • Environment Light algorithm added for Cycles material – Glossy BSDF and Diffuse BSDF nodes now automatically enable environment lighting.
