The focus was of course on 3ds Max 2018.1, which also received plenty of attention at SIGGRAPH. The VR workflow with 3ds Max Interactive in particular was able to delight visitors.

The freshly released Maya 2018 was also very well received. We already reported in detail on the new version – read it here.

The Flame Family 2018.2

But there was also plenty to see beyond modelling and animation. Autodesk presented the Flame family 2018.2 and promises better productivity and simplified integration into the existing pipeline.

Shotgun also presented itself with several new features. The integration of creation tools is now supposed to be even easier. The developers have also improved security once again.

A brief summary can be read at Autodesk itself.

Autodesk at animago 2017

Only two weeks remain until animago, and we are delighted to welcome Autodesk there as a sponsor too. They are taking on patronage of the “Best Game Cinematic” category. For anyone who wants to order tickets quickly: Here is the animago website.
