“The Dark Tower” Breakdown Reel by Rise

Many set extensions as well as smoke and gunfire effects were needed to create the world of the gunslinger conceived by Stephen King. Here are some of the shots worked on by Rise in the breakdown video.

At the animago CONFERENCE, FX supervisor Andreas Giesen, CG and environment supervisor Oliver Schulz and compositing supervisor Benjamin Burr spoke this year about their work on the project “The Dark Tower”. For anyone who would already like to note the date of the animago event for 2018: next year, the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE will take place in Munich on October 25 and 26.
