Alexander Richter recommends that CG artists who work exclusively with 3ds Max familiarise themselves with the MaxScript scripting language. This is because Python is not well developed in 3ds Max. He also explains how scripting in 3ds Max works in both languages and which code is needed, for example, to access external files.
