Nemetschek | Maxon

Maxon, known to many through its Cinema 4D software, is now fully part of the Nemetschek Group. The software developer has increased its stake from 70% to 100% and immediately appointed a new CEO as well. David McGavran, who worked for Adobe in a wide variety of positions for many years, has taken the top seat. The company’s original founders will leave it, but will probably remain available in the background in an advisory capacity.

New Face, New Direction?

Nemetschek emphasises that it wants to continue focusing on the media & entertainment sector. However, this is to be exploited more in the field of VR & AR than before.

Exactly what this change means and brings with it will probably become apparent in the coming period.

“I am very much looking forward to applying my years of experience in the Media & Entertainment industry at Adobe Systems to MAXON and initiate and implement steps towards further growth.” – David McGavran
