At least since Interstellar (DP 06 : 15), Double Negative has built up a vivid reputation for space. With the “FIRST MAN” VFX featurette, the studio now presents some of the techniques used in the work. The project’s VFX Supervisor was Paul Lambert (Blade Runner 2049). Among other things, the team used a 180° LED screen for the shoot and projected 360° images to enable flexible in-camera footage.
