According to Adobe, the Substance tools (that is, all tools for textures and materials) will be integrated into Creative Cloud. Adobe’s existing 3D tools – namely Dimension, After Effects and Project Aero, which is still in the alpha stage – are likely to benefit from the Allegorithmic tools.

When they will be available in the cloud, and where the toolset as such is going, is not yet known – however, no toolset is likely to suffer from well-maintained PBR, and the Adobe Standard PBR Material introduced three years ago was already developed in collaboration with Allegorithmic.

According to Allegorithmic, the existing tools are to be developed further and supplied with updates, and licences are also to continue to be handled completely normally.
