In a total of 10 videos, the VFX supervisor shows you in the new “Decimation” training how to make Thanos dissolve into ash.

Tools Used and Content

The tools used include 3ds Max, tyFlow for the particles and Phoenix FD. Compositing is also shown in Nuke, After Effects and Fusion. The 15-hour training series includes:

  • VFX live-action workflow for lighting and shading, rendering and compositing
  • All 10 videos of the “Decimation” VFX training
  • Digital assets, including an animated Thanos character (Alembic), HD footage, HDRIs, LIDAR scans and other assets
