Quixel has reduced the cost of assets in the Megascans library. With the library reaching the 10,000-asset mark, the pricing system is not only becoming cheaper but also simpler.

The new pricing system

You gain access to the Megascans Library through one of the subscription models, which provide you with credit points each month. With the new pricing model, 3D assets now cost only 4 points, and scanned materials 2 points. All other assets are available for one point. Compared with the previous pricing model, the standard “Personal” subscription with 60 points per month, for example, makes it possible to download up to six times as many assets.

The Quixel Scanning Team is currently planning to fill Megscans with thousands more assets over the coming year. In addition to medieval villages, Japanese streets and desert regions, house-building kits in particular are on the agenda.

Megascans availability

All subscribers currently receive an additional 100 credit points. The offer also applies to anyone who signs up for one of the subscription models within this week. The subscription models range from indie “Personal” variants for $19 and 60 points a month to business accounts with 1000 points per year for just under $12000. Here is the overview.
