Maxon and Red Giant recently announced that they would merge at the beginning of the coming year under the Media and Entertainment division of the Nemetschek Group. Both companies published statements on their respective blogs. With Cinema 4D and Redshift from Maxon, as well as Red Giant’s tools, the merger is a major step for the motion graphics and VFX scene.
Further Details Next Year
Apart from the announcement, however, there is no further information yet about the deal or new plans. In contrast to Maxon’s purchase of the GPU renderer Redshift, this time it does not appear to be an acquisition.
