The recently announced “Productions” for Premiere Pro is now available in the new update. As another initiative in view of the coronavirus crisis, Adobe has also made team workflows accessible to all Creative Cloud users.
Productions in Premiere Pro
Productions offers a new framework for organising projects and using assets – whether alone or in a team workflow. Productions connects the project files in your folders with the folder structure in Premiere Pro and, unlike Team Projects, is intended for local storage. Productions is now available in all Premiere versions and offers, among other things:
- Multiple projects can be created and organised within one production.
- Teams: Multiple editors can work on projects in a single production.
- Project Locking to prevent projects from being overwritten.
- Local storage: Productions work without an internet connection.
- Bidirectional syncing between the “Productions Panel” and the folders on the OS.
- Production Panel: Displays all projects and assigned team members.
- Asset Sharing between projects is possible without creating duplicates.

Team Projects Free
Team Projects is part of the Team and Enterprise licences for Premiere Pro and After Effects and is intended for remote collaboration. To provide support in the current situation, Adobe is making Team Projects available free of charge to all Creative Cloud users from 14 April to 17 August 2020. To gain access, you need:
- An active Creative Cloud subscription
- Download of the latest Premiere Pro and After Effects version via the CC app.
