Key improvements in the ONE X2 included a touchscreen, IPX8 water resistance, Bluetooth support, voice control, four microphones and a 1,630 mAh battery rated for roughly 80 minutes of recording.

Capture modes

The camera offered four principal modes: 360, Steady Cam, InstaPano and MultiView. The dual-lens 360 mode captured footage at up to 5.7K. Steady Cam supported 2560×1440, 1920×1440 and 1920×1080 at 50 or 30 fps. InstaPano produced panoramic images, while MultiView targeted vloggers with simultaneous views from two perspectives and face tracking.

Deep Track

Deep Track allowed the user to select a person or object that should remain centred. During post-production, the algorithm reframed the 360-degree footage to keep that subject in view.

Availability and further information

Specifications and accessories were detailed on the Insta360 product page, with the camera also offered through the Insta360 store for approximately €500 at launch.
