PhysX Painter 2.0

Clovis Gay, also known as Kinematic Lab, released PhysX Painter 2.0. The 3ds Max plug-in let artists paint objects into a scene and allow gravity to settle them into place.

New Features

Version 2.0 added Attract and Explode forces for pulling objects towards a central point or pushing them away. A Drop brush placed objects above the surface and released them under gravity.

Performance was also improved. The developer said thousands of objects could be painted into a scene without a significant slowdown.

Availability

PhysX Painter 2.0 launched at €50 through the Kinematic Lab website. Verify current 3ds Max and PhysX compatibility and test object counts, collisions and deterministic results before production use.
