Hochschule der Medien and Epic Games announced Summer of Unreal, a free four-week boot camp delivered by Escape Studios.
Participants were expected to have basic 3D-software knowledge but did not need previous Unreal Engine experience. The programme began with fundamentals and progressed towards photorealistic imagery and digital humans.
Topics included previs, rigging, animation, modelling and lighting. The English-language course ran from 26 July to 20 August 2021 and was offered free to eligible industry professionals and higher-education tutors.
