In brief: Rokoko released its Smartsuit Pro II motion-capture suit.
Workflow: The system combined the suit, a Wi-Fi connection and Rokoko software to record motion. Captured performances could then be processed in DCC and engine pipelines including Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, Maya and iClone.
Rokoko founder and CEO Jakob Balslev said feedback from thousands of Smartsuit users informed the new design.
Tracking: Multi-level tracking was intended to capture vertical movement such as stairs and ladders, while the revised system was also designed for demanding actions such as fight choreography. Smartgloves integration allowed the gloves and Smartsuit Pro II to share a single USB-C battery.
