The premise of "What you don't see" was to prove that shooting on analogue film stock in an LED volume is possible, despite widespread scepticism, and to uncover the benefits and challenges associated with it. Together with HYPERBOWL, Studio L'Equipe, ARRI Rental Munich, SILBERSALZ and oh, boy! films, they carried out a series of tests and used the knowledge gained to realise a 2-minute narrative short film. We caught up with the three people behind the film - Luis Zappe, Sebastian Burk and Samuel Ramm. They are a team of students and alumni of Stuttgart Media University. The project was carried out as part of two final theses, with other partners joining in as the project progressed, and Samuel Ramm as director. The social advert "Was du nicht siehst" was produced with the support of Stuttgart-based production company Oh, boy! films GmbH.
