Tag Manager presents tags in a structured list divided into point, edge and polygon selections, vertex maps, Claude Bonet maps, texture tags and UVW tags. Other tag types appear at the end of the list. As in the Object Manager, users can select several tags simultaneously, move them by drag and drop, or duplicate them with drag and copy. Tags can be renamed and deleted. Multiple object selection is supported, with the combined tags shown in the list. Display options can hide or show icons and selected tag categories.
New functions convert between point, edge and polygon selections, vertex maps and Claude Bonet maps. Multiple selections can be merged. Editor selections can be frozen and restored, and a selection can be expanded or reduced. Tag Manager can optionally switch the current mode to match the selection type. Activating a point-selection tag, for example, switches to point mode. These functions are available through a context menu.
Texture-tag handling has also been simplified. Materials can be dragged into Tag Manager. Double-clicking a texture tag’s name changes the material name, while double-clicking its icon opens the corresponding material window. Polygon-selection restrictions can be assigned within Tag Manager by drag and drop.
Character-animation tools provide an ordered overview of the vertex maps or Claude Bonet maps in use. Users can switch between the vertex-map and Claude Bonet systems while retaining links to the bones. Moving from Claude Bonet to the vertex-map system automatically creates the required restriction tags on the bones and links them to the vertex map. A blur function and gradient curve support fine-tuning of vertex maps and Claude Bonet maps. To assign a restriction tag to a bone, users drag the bone from the Object Manager onto the required vertex map in Tag Manager. The plug-in costs €50.
